The recent report by Zhu et al. in Nature Energy demonstrated a strategy to achieve well-organized three-dimensional permanent hierarchically ordered structures (HOS) by thermally processing conductive polymers to achieve improved charge transfer properties and mechanical strength, which are significant for lithium-ion batteries.
