Study of the pathogenic detection and clinical significance of fungal diarrhea

OBJECTIVE To study the pathogenic characteristic,infection causes and preventive measure of fungal diarrhea.METHODS Stool fungus culture and stool direct smear examination were tested to isolated the pathogen of fungal diarrhea from 450 patients of chronic diarrhea.Experiments of identification and drug sensitivity were performed for the isolated fungi.RESULTS The detection rate of stool direct smear examination was 35.11%.The detection rate of stool fungus culture was 33.33%.The two detection rate were not statistical difference(P﹥0.05).The isolated main pathogen of fungal diarrhea was candida albicans(65.33%).The drug sensitivity of Amphotericin was the highest(94.67%).CONCLUSION The detection rate of pathogen in fungal diarrhea was high.The main pathogen of fungal diarrhea was candida albicans.Stool fungus culture and stool direct smear examination were good methods for laboratory diagnosis of fungal diarrhea rapidly and accurately.
