摘要
Amorphous heavy-atom-free pure organic polymers with efficient room-temperature phosphorescence were prepared by X. Ma, H. Tian, and co-workers as described in their Communication on page 10854 ff. Two typical chemical structures with different emissions (one with blue afterglow, the other with green) represent two sides in chess. The chessboard pattern represents the cross-linked networks formed by hydrogen bonding, playing an important role in the luminescence mechanism. The detailed polymer structure is shown below the chessboard.
