Lithium-Ion Batteries The effect of silicon particle size on its physical, chemical, and mechanochemical behaviors has been benchmarked via multiple lab- and synchrotron-based characterizations. The significant differences caused by particle size in the composition transition, structure transition, particle pulverization, electrode expansion, and surface chemistry, are strongly related to their electrochemical variations.
