摘要
Nanofiber yarns with an ordered arrangement of nanofibers and a controllable yarn structure present superior performance, such as flexibility, continuous nanochannels, and strong capillary pressure. Besides, as one of the most fundamental forms of materials in textile science and industry, nanofiber yarns can also be integrated with conventional textile processing processes, providing more opportunities for the applications of nanofiber yarn. In this chapter, the development of fabrication strategies for nanofiber yarns is comprehensively summarized and categorized by the yarn architecture and fabricating methods. The technological limitations of conventional strategies are discussed, and the novel yarn structure and corresponding application are highlighted. The remaining challenges and future development trends of fabrication of electrospinning nanofiber yarns and their applications are also discussed.
