New Ag(I)−NHC/TBHP System for Oxidative Coupling of α‐Hydroxy Acetophenones with Amines: A Base‐Free and Efficient Synthesis of α‐Ketoamides in Water

Abstract A base‐free and efficient tandem one‐pot α‐ketoamide bond formation via tert‐butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) mediated oxidative coupling of α‐hydroxy acetophenones with primary and secondary amines under Ag(I)‐ N ‐Heterocyclic carbene (Ag(I)−NHC) catalysis in water was developed herein for the first time.
