摘要
•This study assessed cytokines/chemokines derived from vulvar lichen sclerosus (VLS) keratinocytes and fibroblasts. •CHI3L1, GDF-15, IGFBP-2 and DKK-1 were the most dysregulated cytokines/chemokines in VLS compared with healthy skin cells. •The dysregulated cytokines/chemokines in VLS keratinocytes and/or fibroblasts are implied in both inflammation and collagen/fibroblast metabolism. •These findings suggest a close crosstalk between inflammation and altered collagen biology in VLS pathophysiology.
