Taking Chengdu as research object, constructs the evaluation index system of urban resilience (UR) and economic development level (EDL), calculates Chengdu's UR and EDL from 2008 to 2018 using entropy comprehensive evaluation method, and based on the coordination degree model discusses the coordination relationship between UR and EDL of Chengdu. The study found that: (1) from 2008 to 2018, the UR of Chengdu is on a rise; (2) from 2008 to 2018, Chengdu's EDL is in steady upward trend, the growth rate of Chengdu's EDL in 2013–2016 was slower than 2008–2013, and met rapid growth after 2016; (3) overall, the Chengdu's coordination degree of UR and EDL is rising steadily, but obviously different in different periods, grew rapidly in 2008–2013, slowed down significantly in 2013–2016, and ushered in a substantial growth in 2016–2018; and (4) the coordination level of Chengdu's UR and EDL can be roughly divided into three stages: 2008–2011 is in the imbalance stage, 2012–2016 is in the primary coordination stage, and 2017–2018 is in the intermediate coordination stage.
