A Novel Approach to Treatment with Antiangiogenic Agents in Adenocarcinoma of Urachal

A 53-year-old male was admitted to the hospital due to persistent waist pain. The chest Computed tomography (CT) scan revealed damage and swelling resembling soap bubbles in the right fourth rib. Subsequently, the patient was referred to our department. The review indicated occupation of the right fourth rib, destruction of the lumbar bone and two vertebrae, and raised suspicions of neoplastic lesions. Contrast-enhanced CT revealed a pelvic mass with enhancing characteristics and cystic components in close proximity to the dome of the bladder (Figure 1). In February 2023, the patient underwent a biopsy procedure for the mass located at the right fourth rib, which confirmed the presence of mucinous adenocarcinoma. The findings suggest the possibility of a primary urachus carcinoma (Figure 2). Therefore, partial cystectomy and urachectomy were performed.
