摘要
High-Energy Li-Ion Batteries In article number 2203841, Xuning Feng, Li Wang, Minggao Ouyang, and co-workers focus on the catastrophic thermal failure of high-energy Li-ion batteries, which tend to behave more violently in thermal accidents with fire and explosions. Based on a comprehensive review, the main challenges, as well as the promising safety design routes to overcome the intrinsic trade-off between energy density and battery safety, are proposed.
