Quantum dots (QDs) are increasingly used in photoelectrochemical (PEC) devices due to their broad composition/size/shape tunable absorption spectrum. In article 2003233, Haiguang Zhao, Federico Rosei and co-workers summarize the latest progress in QDs-based PEC H2 generation, including photoanodes, photocathodes and tandem systems. Insights into the structure/property relationships of QDs are discussed and correlated to the PEC devices.
