From the EtOAc fraction of the MeOH extract of Ulmus davidiana, (-)-catechin (1), (-)-catechin-7-O-β-D-apiofuranoside (2), and (-)-catechin-7-O-β-D-xylopyranoside (3) were isolated and characterized on the basis of ¹H-and ∨13C-NMR, and FABMS spectral data. Compounds 1-3 showed more strong reducing power activities than α-tocopherol, a positive control.
