摘要
Sclerone, mp 138~140°C, C10H10O3 was isolated from the culture filtrate of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. This is optically active, [α]D20−30∘, and gave 1,5-naphthalenediol on pyrolysis. Oxidation with MnO2 yielded juglone. From the chemical and physical evidences, the structure was determined to be 4,5-dihydroxy-(4S)-3,4-dihydro-1(2H)-naphthalenone.
