摘要
In this study, we investigated the impact of refractive index on the brightness enhancement achieved by brightness enhancement films (BEFs) in Liquid Crystal Display Modules (LCMs). Specifically, as the refractive index of the BEF increased from 1.53 to 1.65, the backlight brightness of the LCM rose by approximately 21%. This increase reduces backlight power consumption, promoting greener and more sustainable technology implementation. Our simulation results further indicate that the brightness gain from the film continues to rise as the refractive index increases to 1.75. However, a further increase in the refractive index to 1.80 or higher leads to a decrease in brightness. These findings provide valuable insights for the optimal selection of refractive index in BEF design.
