The principal authors have written a treatise on the gross and microscopic anatomy and pathology of the choroid plexus and have asked others to contribute chapters in areas of special interest. Ultrastructural aspects of development are considered by Virginia Tennyson, and the electron microscopy of mature tissue and the barrier to proteins is treated by Milton Brightman. Norwin Becker and Carl Sutton present a chapter on histochemistry, and Sven Ebbesson and Dolores Schroeder consider the plexus and paraphysis in nonhuman vertebrates.
