摘要
In article number 1901820 by Sebastian Seiffert and co-workers, degradable vaterite/PEG-composite microgels are templated by droplet-based microfluidic technology. A key aspect of the material development is the fundamental understanding of the gel structure-property relationships, and their connection to tissue engineering, by tailoring the microgel properties on micro-, meso-, and macroscopic levels. The co-encapsulation of cells provides an in vitro platform for metabolic bone regeneration studies and a step towards new bone tissue regeneration materials.
