Specific properties of polonium aerosols

Physicochemical properties of aerosols confining polonium-[210] are reviewed. High radiotoxicity and other specific features of polonium aerosols that are associated with the possibility of spontaneous aerosol formation leading to «hot» particles carrying unipolar electrical charge and with the presence of gaseous polonium in aerosol system are noted. The above properties of polonium aerosols make the use of complex highperformance means necessary in order to remove polonium from the air
