A high-resolution Radon transform (or sparse Radon inversion) is effective in handling irregularly sampled and spatially aliased seismic data. We modified the conventional sparse Radon inversion by introducing a dipole term in the inversion matrix. This term acts like a time-differential operator and focuses quickly on the high-frequency details during the inversion process. Our new method better preserves primary signals compared with the conventional sparse Radon inversion method. We tested the effectiveness of our algorithm with two field data examples.
