摘要
This paper reports a novel flexible interdigital electrode (FIE) for pulsed field ablation of atrial fibrillation. Owing to the high-density electrode array, FIE gets a two-fold reduction in the ablation voltage compared with the state of the art, allowing ablations of 50 V for a swine in vivo. Finite element analysis shows that the electric field generated on the tissue is 6.3 kV/cm when 50 V is applied, meeting the demand for pulsed field ablation. FIE is modified by Pt-black through the electrochemical method to increase charge storage capacity and decrease impedance values. Specifically, FIE can also record impedance changes of tissue to evaluate the ablation effect. Moreover, it can be integrated onto a balloon catheter, pushing forward a significant step to clinical application.
