摘要
ZnS–ZnO nanocomposites were synthesised successfully through a facile thermal treatment of ZnS microspheres (MSs). Compared with pristine ZnS samples, the decoration of ZnO brings remarkable enhancement in the antibacterial performance of ZnS–ZnO nanocomposites. The formation of ZnS–ZnO nanocomposites lead to the enhancement of the light-absorption, promoted the separation of light-induced charges, inhibited the recombination of photogenerated carriers, prolonged the lifespan of electron–hole in the reaction and produced more hydroxyl radicals to inhibit the growth of bacteria, resulting in the highly efficient antibacterial activity. It is believed that such materials will be useful to remove the pathogens in air and water environment.
