摘要
A method was used to prepare hydroxyapatite (HA) nanofibers by direct immersing CaAlB3O7 powders in potassium phosphate (K2HPO4) solutions. The precursors CaAlB3O7 was synthesized by the traditional solid-state reaction method. The structure of the as-prepared powders was confirmed by X-ray powder diffraction studies. In K2HPO4 solutions CaAlB3O7 undergoes complete conversion to HA nanofibers indicating the bioactive potential. The HA mineralization ability was confirmed by XRD, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray energy-dispersive spectra (EDS) and analysis in the samples before and after immersion. The result shows the possible application of this borate for bone tissue engineering.
