The interesting report of Panikker et al,1 which also was discussed in the corresponding editorial,2 demonstrated that it is feasible and safe to perform left atrial appendage (LAA) electric isolation followed by mechanical occlusion using the endocardial Watchman device in addition to pulmonary vein isolation and extensive left atrial ablation.
