摘要
The outstanding properties and applications of perovskite materials as photoconversion devices are highly exciting and hold great promise. However, research still needs to strongly focus on deciphering the physical and chemical processes governing their behavior during working conditions. The main application of perovskite materials lies in photovoltaic technology, and especially their polycrystalline form reaches among the highest power conversion efficiencies. However, this polycrystalline nature imposes obstacles in the race to fully understand the material itself. To solve that, monocrystalline perovskite counterparts are required to disentangle bulk from grain effects. The absence of grain boundaries and the thicker dimensions of bulk crystals make them highly stable under atmospheric conditions, even during optoelectronic measurements. The knowledge about perovskite single crystals is rapidly increasing. In this chapter, a compilation of the current developments and directions is provided.
