The present chapter narrates the historical trajectory of flipped classroomsFlipped classroom from the pedagogical ideas of John Dewey in the twentieth century to the contemporary era of Khan Academy, Sams, and Bergman. This chapter will overview various flipped classroom implementations, including micro-flipped, demonstration-based, faux-flipped, and virtual flipped classroomsFlipped classroom. Other practices include combining innovative flipped classroom practices with other instructional approaches such as gamification and inclusivity. This chapter will expound upon several theories regarding implementing the flipped classroomFlipped classroom approach. Additionally, it will examine various technologies utilized to facilitate student learning, particularly in out-of-class activities designed to deliver pre-class materials. The crucial component of the flipped classroom, evaluation, will come after pragmatic methodologies derived from earlier research or studies in the upcoming report. Ultimately, the chapter will culminate with a succinct analysis of the obstacles and hindrances associated with this implementation framework and some proposed remedies.
