AIM: To investigate the chemical constituents from the roots of Lysidice rhodostegia Hance.METHOD: The compounds were isolated by column chromatography on silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and HPLC, their structures were identified by physicochemical properties and spectral data. RESULT: Thirteen compounds were isolated from the titled plant and were identified as(-)-5′-methoxyisolariciresinol 3α-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅰ),(+)-5′-methoxy-isolariciresinol 3α-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅱ), (-)-lyoniresinol 3α-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅲ), resveratrol(Ⅳ), lupeol(Ⅴ), 2-hydroxy-lupeol(Ⅵ), betulinic acid (Ⅶ), sitosteryl 3β-glucoside 6′-O-palmitate(Ⅷ), heneicosanic-3-O-β-sitosterolate (Ⅸ), gallic acid (Ⅹ), palmitic acid (Ⅺ), daucosterol (Ⅻ), β-sitosterol (ⅩⅢ). CONCLUSION: These compounds were obtained from Lysidice rhodostegia for the first time.
