Recently, the use of scaffolds as wound dressings in skin tissue engineering with the aim of rapid healing and prevention of bleeding is growing quickly, materials and structures similar to the target tissue are used to improve its quality. In this research, polyamide6/hydroxyethyl cellulose (PA6/HEC) incorporated with TA (tannic acid) in different concentration (5, 10, 25%) has been used to produce nanofibers (NFs) by electrospinning method. Electrospun NFs were examined in terms of chemical and physical structure, swelling, degradation, moisture retention, thermal stability and mechanical properties. In addition, this study investigates cellular behavior, antibacterial, hemocompatibility and antioxidant properties. Among the NFs, PA/HEC/25%TA mat showed more favorable results. The produced scaffolds were non-toxic in the cell media, and increasing TA content improved cell growth and proliferation. The results of the hemostatic test showed that the presence of TA causes rapid blood coagulation, and TA has increased the antibacterial ability against pathogenic agents and antioxidant virtues. Therefore, the obtained results confirm the potential of NFs as a wound dressing.
