Pathway of skin-whitening cosmetic action and its development trends

Pathway of melanin formation and the enzymes involved in this process were briefly introduced.Different effective targets of skin-whitening cosmetics were focused and summarized,and those skin-whitening ingredients based on these effects were analyzed.Drawbacks of modern skin-whitening cosmetics were discussed,and the new concept of keep white was proposed.Directions and prospects of the development of skin-whitening cosmetics were finally forecasted.
