Biogeomorphological morphogenetic systems—a special type of geomorphological systems, the development of which is determined by biogeocenosis—a natural system of functionally interconnected living organisms and components of their abiotic environment, characterized by a certain energy state, type and rate of metabolism and information. Hydro-biogeomorphological systems are characterized by "accumulative" biogeochemical type of lithogenesis with "energy-intensive" physical and chemical properties. These are freshwater and marine geoecosystems (estuary-lagoon, swamp, lake, etc.) where organogenic energy-intensive deposits are formed: sapropels, peat, amber. The paper considers the role of geomorphological conditions for the development of these systems of formation, accumulation, transformation of energy-intensive deposits. When solving the problems of managing coastal wetlands through their accelerated programmable formation, heterogeneous hydro-biogeomorphological systems merge; absorption and transformation of existing and the emergence in their place of natural-anthropogenic systems with inherited or nature-like properties and structure.
