The production of energy storage electrodes with excellent performance using pseudocapacitive materials and biomass carbon is tricky. To address this, a self-supporting electrode material with RuO2 intercalated in wood carbon was prepared using wood as a framework, and the materials exhibited good morphology stability. In the three-electrode mode, the prepared materials exhibited good electrochemical performance, among which the specific capacitance of SPWC15-800 reached 326.95 F/g (0.1 A/g). Moreover, SPWC15-800 maintained a capacitance retention of 91.25% when the CV curve runs to 12450 cycles, exhibiting good stable characteristics. For the evaluation of two-electrode, under 0.1A/g, the corresponding energy density was 3.765 Wh/kg, displaying the potential of wood-carbon based self-supporting materials.
