摘要
The standard enthalpies of formation of some transition metal indium compounds have been measured by high temperature direct synthesis calorimetry at 1273±2 K. The following results (in kJ/mol of atoms) are reported: Sc2In (−42.6±2.7); Mn3In (1.3±1.9); NiIn (−29.5±1.8); Y5In3 (−52.7±1.9); ZrIn2 (−38.3±2.3); RuIn3 (−18.4±1.9); RhIn3 (−32.6±2.0); PdIn (−62.8±1.7); LaIn3 (−53.7±2.6); IrIn3 (−23.8±2.4); Pt2In3 (−51.3±2.0). The results are compared with some earlier values obtained by solution calorimetry and by the EMF technique. They are also compared with the predicted values based on the semi-empirical model of Miedema and coworkers. We also compare the heats of formation of the transition metal indium compounds with compounds of transition metals with other elements in the IIIB column of the Periodic Table.
