摘要
AbstractA review of scientific articles on the theme of loss prediction methods in the axial turbine blade cascade is carried out. The chronological sequence of the most famous loss prediction methods is represented. The analysis of these correlations’ accuracy and their key features is conducted. A number of differences between the described methods are indicated. Key disadvantages of general methods for loss prediction in axial blade cascades are outlined. The conclusion about the applicability of these loss correlation methods nowadays is made. Basic approaches for loss prediction in the modern world are described. The conclusion about the importance and the new role of natural experiments with test rigs is made. A criteria of only new 3D CFD throughflow calculation methods using except of empirical and semi-empirical correlation methods is made. The conclusion about the importance of in-depth knowledge of the general methods for loss prediction in axial turbines for designers at turbine manufacturing enterprises is made. The conclusion about the most world-widely used modern research approach is made. The key problem of CAE and CAD tools for research investigation is highlighted. The conclusion about the effective approach for loss prediction correlation investigation is made.KeywordsSteam turbineLosses in a turbine stageEfficiency of a turbine stageLoss prediction methodsCorrelationsSecondary losses
