Biomass Electrooxidation Ni-based hydroxides are promising electrocatalysts for biomass oxidation reactions, supplanting the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) while producing value-added chemicals. In article number 2305573, Nicholas M. Bedford, Yuwei Yang, and co-workers use catalyst engineering strategies for markedly improving selectivity toward biomass oxidation reactions versus the OER. This readily translatable approach can provide pathways for future selective biomass electrooxidation reactions.
