摘要
Rod photoreceptors of the snapping turtle retina were Golgi impregnated and studied in the electron microscope. Telodendria arising from the synaptic bases ended at rods and cones as lateral or central elements of the ribbon synaptic complex, thus providing clear evidence of chemical synapses between turtle photoreceptors.
