In situ construction of a hydrophobic channel interconnecting zincophilic planes on the Zn surface for enhanced stability of Zn metal anodes

This work proposes a novel electrolyte additive, sulfobutylether-β-cyclodextrin, which remarkably improves the cycling stability of AZIBs with the synergistic effect of its zincophilic functional groups and unique adsorption configuration.
