General and Efficient Synthesis of Quinazolinones under CF3COOH Catalysis and Solvent‐Free Conditions

Abstract We herein reported the general and facile synthesis of diffferently substituted quinazolinones by using ortho ester as C1 synthon and CF 3 COOH as the catalyst under solvent‐free conditions. That represents one of the most mild, practical and user‐friendly methodologies with easy‐separation procedure.
