Facile synthesis of orange emissive carbon dots and their application for mercury ion detection and fast fingerprint development

In this paper, orange emitting carbon dots (CDs) were synthesized by a hydrothermal process, and the CDs shown good behavior in detection for Hg²⁺, development of LFPs, cell imaging, test paper and films.
