摘要
This review article mainly focuses on the degradation of different metals or alloys in corrosive soil environments. Many factors that influence metal degradation in the soil such as moisture content, water retention in soil, soil texture, acidification, pH, aeration, and soil bacteria have been summarized. Corrosion resistance against the soil environment for specific metals has been discussed. Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals in different types of soils and their corrosion resistance were also demonstrated. It also highlights the different methods to measure metal corrosion in soil.
