Replete with ammonia nitrogen and organic pollutants, landfill leachate typically undergoes treatment employing expensive and carbon-intensive integrated techniques. We propose a novel microalgae technology for efficient, low-carbon simultaneous treatment of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus in landfill leachate (LL).
