Industrialization has caused the generation of harmful waste in large amounts, which could affect both environment and human health. One of the effective solutions to safeguard the environment is to treat and recycle industrial waste for the synthesis of nanoparticles and use in other industrial applications. This chapter review systematically starts with an overview of the source of solid industrial waste generation, its recyclable materials and potential application. Then, the discussion expands on the available method to synthesize nanomaterials from industrial solid waste that is produced during manufacturing processes. Lastly, the sustainability consideration and future outlook on the implementation of waste-derived nanomaterials from industrial waste are outlined.
