Abstract The new inorganic ion exchanger (Li1.81, H0.19)Ti2O5·2.2 H 2 O is synthesized by hydrothermal reaction of hydrous TiO 2 with LiOH solution at 190 °C. The layered compound crystallizes in a C‐based orthorhombic system.
