Research on Vibrating String Transducer Used in Online Monitoring System of Tailings Dam

In this paper, the measuring principle of vibrating string transducer was studied and the mathematical model of its monitoring principle was deduced, then its application condition in tailings dam online monitoring system was demonstrated and successfully applied in the project. On the basis of comparison result between the data measured by vibrating string transducer and manual measurement, the author draws the conclusion that the vibrating string transducer could exactly reflect the safety index of tailings dam and its accuracy could meet the requirement of online monitoring of tailings dam.
