Benefits and risks of anthracyclines in early-stage breast cancer

We read with great interest the Article on the use of anthracyclines in adjuvant breast cancer treatment by the Early Breast Cancer Trialists' Collaborative Group.1 The topic of anthracycline reduction has been previously acknowledged, and this meta-analysis contributes to the ongoing debate. However, we believe that some of the conclusions drawn from the data should be carefully considered.
