This research is on the practice of concrete encased steel composite column associated with angle steel. This paper consists of the numerical investigation of the concrete encased four-equal-leg-angle steel column for different parameters. It is a fully encased composite column. There are total ten specimens subjected to study, containing nine 4-equal-leg angled composite column and one I-section for comparison purpose. Thirteen specimens are divided into three different sets based on the three different parameters. Parametric study was conducted to investigate the effects of different cross section, different number of steel hooping plate and height of column on the strength of the composite columns. In ABAQUS 6.14, nonlinear 3-D finite element models were generated for studies1. Load-displacement curves of different set of specimen are taken from the ABAQUS software. Stiffness is calculated from the load-displacement curve, later the result values of specimens in same set are compared and lead to the final results.
