摘要
The thermodynamics of a binary solid solution containing interstitial solute atoms and host lattice vacancies is considered. It is shown that interstitial-vacancy interactions may be responsible for negative excess entropies in solutions containing the large interstitials. The effect of interstitial-vacancy interactions on both the thermodynamic and kinetic properties of carbon-austenite is discussed.
