摘要
This research article explores the use of tablet technologies, namely the iPad, the computer, the smart board, the electronic book and video modelling, in teaching critical thinking and communication skills to students with intellectual disabilities. By surveying related literature, the advantages of each technology and obstacles to its use in the stated context were identified. The results reveal that tablet technologies are essential in promoting the critical thinking and communication skills of students with intellectual disabilities. Their positive impact on the development of these skills in intellectually impaired students has been empirically supported. Based on the results, several recommendations were offered to promote the efficiency of employing tablet technologies in teaching critical academic skills, i.e. critical thinking and communication skills, to students with intellectual disabilities.
