摘要
The different roles of introduced sulfide ions (S2−) on the surface of CdSe quantum dots are revealed by Li-Zhu Wu and co-workers in article number 1804872. At an earlier stage, S2− grows into the lattice and accelerates electron transfer, while afterward, the S2− works as ligands and promotes hole transfer, thus greatly improving the efficiency of quantum dots for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution.
