摘要
In article number 1801573, Guk-Tae Kim, Zexiang Shen, Stefano Passerini and co-workers report MnPO4-coated LiNi0.4Co0.2Mn0.4O2 (MP-NCM) as a cathode material for lithium-ion batteries. The MnPO4 coating acts as a protective layer physically preventing the contact between the NCM active material and the electrolyte, thus, stabilizing the electrode/electrolyte interface and preventing detrimental side reactions, eventually leading to a significantly enhanced rate capability and excellent cycling stability.
