Golgi: Methods for Preparation

Abstract The Golgi apparatus can be purified from cells and tissues using a number of different methods, depending on the purpose for which it is to be used. Purified Golgi membranes have been used in a variety of cell‐free assays to investigate sugar modifications, vesicle transport, structural formation of the Golgi apparatus and the interaction of the Golgi with microtubules.
