摘要
Since its first publication in 2011, attention to MXenes – two-dimensional (2D) transition-metal carbides, nitrides, and carbonitrides – has grown rapidly in recent years. Thorough studies have shed light on their expanded capabilities for utilization in various fields, including catalysis, optoelectronic devices, and photonics, amongst others. MXenes are set to offer new 2D nanoplatforms for advanced materials due to their fascinating magnetic, mechanical, and thermal features, as well as the richness of elemental composition and chemical patterning. This in-depth study, written for audiences from a wide range of academic fields, focuses on the most recent developments in the magnetic, mechanical, and thermal characteristics of MXene and the uses for these capabilities.
