摘要
The growing demands for designing small-scale, high-speed, and lightweight electronic products have revealed the necessity of developing efficient thermal management techniques. Several strategies have been developed for the thermal management of electronic products, extending from free/natural convection air cooling, well-known as the simplest and more affordable and cost-effective technique, to very complex and sophisticated designs, such as thermoelectric cooling and phase-change setups. Each of those approaches has shown various advantages and drawbacks, which narrow down the selection criteria for an efficient method. In this field, the key selecting factors are based on operating conditions (e.g., temperature, pressure), geometry, and cost. The current chapter outlines and discusses the thermal management techniques for electronic products based on their designs, developments, and applications.
